OEM & Private Label · Kids Bedroom Storage · Tianjin, China
A room accessory first and a storage bin second. The face is built from separate felt pieces, so it survives being sat in, sat on and dragged across a carpet — which is the actual life of a toy basket.
01 — WHY IT SELLS
Parents do not buy a toy bin; they buy a room that looks finished. That is why the character does the selling — but only if the construction survives the way a two-year-old uses it.
Separate felt pieces sewn onto the body: eyes, muzzle, whiskers, tongue and ears. Nothing to peel at the corner, nothing to fade after a season by a window.
At toddler height there is nothing to fall against. The basket tips over quietly and comes back up without a crack or a dent.
37 cm of height swallows plush toys, dress-up clothes and a week of baby laundry — the clutter disappears rather than being rearranged.
Fits into the corner beside a cot or a bed frame where a square bin leaves a gap, and reads as decor rather than furniture.
02 — MATERIAL & CONSTRUCTION
The body is needled felt: fibre tangled into a mat rather than woven, so there is no warp or weft to fray when the basket is dragged across a carpet with a full load inside.
Each feature is a separate cut piece — the ears are padded and stand proud of the rim, the muzzle and eyes are layered and stitched, the whiskers are sewn cord. That layering is what gives the character depth in a photograph, and what a transfer print cannot reproduce.
Sewing is done by hand, so the finished height and diameter carry a ±0.5 cm tolerance. We state that on the page rather than letting a buyer discover it with a tape measure at inspection.

04 — PACKING & OEM
The body is a simple cylinder; the character is the variable. Send an illustration, a nursery theme or a licensed brief and we quote the die set, the layered applique and the sampling time — the body pattern does not change.
05 — SPECIFICATIONS
Hand-sewn soft goods: ±0.5 cm on dimensions and ±10% on unit weight. Both tolerances are stated here so they are not a surprise at inspection.

06 — WHERE IT GOES
The round shape and the character face let one SKU sit in four retail categories. Naming them is what lets the page rank beyond the obvious “toy basket” term.
Plush toys, muslins and baby laundry — the soft wall is safe beside a cot.
Slippers, pyjamas and soft toys kept off the floor but within reach.
Small-world toys and dress-up clothes; the open top means children actually use it.
Towels and bath toys — felt will not scratch a painted wall or tiled skirting.
Dirty clothes for one child; dark grey hides the marks a pale bin would show.
New-baby and birthday sets — the character does the gifting work on its own.
07 — QUESTIONS
Yes. Each feature is a separate felt piece stitched down, not a print or a heat transfer, so there is no film to crack or peel. The basket will deform under a child’s weight and recover — felt has enough body for that.
Yes, that is the hand-sewing tolerance we work to, and we state it on the page rather than leaving it to be discovered at inspection. If your market requires a tighter spec, we can quote a machinery-assisted rim.
Yes. The body pattern is fixed; the applique is the variable. Send an illustration or a reference and we quote the die set, the number of layers and the sampling time. Licensed characters require you to hold the rights.
It keeps a round wall without a board inside, though a soft-sided basket reads as softer than a rigid bin. That is the trade-off for it being safe in a nursery and cheap to freight.
Yes. Body and applique are chosen independently from the 56-shade felt range or matched to a Pantone reference. Dark grey is the stock standard because it hides marks best in a child’s room.
Poly bag or printed sleeve, then a carton with your barcode and carton mark. Because the body is soft, units compress slightly in the carton without taking a permanent crease.
500 pieces per colourway is the standard minimum. A smaller trial run can be discussed for a first order so you can test the shelf before committing to a full programme.
Vacuum or brush out dust. Spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry fully — do not machine wash, and do not iron directly over the applique.
We will return unit pricing, a die and stitch quote for your artwork, and a sampling timeline. Trade buyers receive a free sample before the first production run.
