My little spaceship tent, my home for the five weeks I was on the trail. Yes, this is some people’s version of fun. Yes, it’s a bit like Wild. 

Over the years they’ve gotten more and more user-friendly with designs trending toward simplicity of use. Having a home electric pedicure machine is an invaluable time-saver for people who have a difficult time contorting themselves to cut their toenails or who have painful hand conditions like arthritis or carpal tunnel that make squeezing those tiny clippers a struggle.

If I owned this bike I’d immediately cut off the unsightly license plate mount, but I’d leave the turn signals. After that, I’d reupholster the seat for some more back support, and maybe some color in the stitching. Possibly some more aggressive clutch plates. That’s it! I wouldn’t switch the tires, or the wheels, or even the exhaust. This bike is a performer, and a major contender for a customer looking for a stylish, all-around bike … and, I suppose, a "lifestyle statement."

Lauw grew up in Singapore and studied fine art and art history at Goldsmiths in London. She first got involved with A.S.M.R. through Whisperlodge, an immersive theater piece she produced with the playwright Andrew Hoepfner. Whispers on Demand grew out of that project — less theatrical, more therapeutic. Lauw’s clients were mostly women, many in the tech industry. The sessions cost $150 per hour.

This presentation will cover some of the automated processes for sanding and scrubbing, and their benefits for finish quality, including surface preparation, appearance improvement, and defect inspection and elimination. Finish Surface Preparation is achieved by sanding and washing the surfaces using robotically carried sanding/buffing tooling and chemical sprays. Appearance Improvement is achieved by sanding or buffing the finish substrate or prime or topcoat layers. Defect elimination is achieved by sensing the surface for defects, categorizing them, and providing detailed information for follow-on systems that achieve defect elimination by sanding and buffing the defects. Descriptions of the systems and processes to achieve these benefits are reviewed, and videos of each of the processes in lab and production settings are shown. Tooling and System Components such as compliant sanding and buffing tooling, inspection sensors, and sanding media changers are described in detail, and shown in photos and videos.

Her survivors include a daughter, Jenny Grede Dahlstrand, and a sister, Gerd Andersson, a former ballerina with the Royal Opera.

The child of Persian and Iraqi immigrants in Israel, Lurie vividly remembers his childhood when sometimes he had a sandwich for school and sometimes, he didn’t, and when sometimes lunch consisted of pickles that his mother made from picking up the strewn cucumbers in Jerusalem’s Machane Yehuda market.    

My favorite day of the year is Alien Day. (Okay, so it’s one of my favorite days, but look it’s easily right up there with Halloween.) In honor of the creepy, dust storm–ravaged planet of the original Alien (1979) film, LV426, the Alien franchise designated April 26th as Alien Day, and every year they invite fans of Alien to join in and celebrate their favorite “monster in the house but the house is a spaceship” movie.

This powerful sander is a great all-rounder. The adjustable front handle and pommel grip makes it a very mobile sander to wield – perfect for tackling door frames, bannisters and bevelled spindles. Both the on/off switch and handy battery level indicator are mounted conveniently on top of the handle, and you can scroll through six speed settings on the front-wheel switch easily with your index finger during sanding. It’s very quiet in use – this sander runs practically silently on its slowest setting. Swap out the velcro sanding disk and fit a polishing pad – lambswool, felt and sponge pads are available – and you can set it to work, buffing up your trophy collection/car alloys/french dresser. Just remember to remove the sanding disk first. 

Which one is better? It’s tough to say and frankly, it doesn’t matter. At this point in the game, the prospect of any player increasing their slice of the pickup pie—“conquesting” in industry-speak—is slim. Moreover, it would be a flawed strategy, given that a huge swath of Americans is clamoring for a pickup (whether they actually need one or not).
