Danish esports organization Astralis and its apparel partner Hummel have announced a partnership with Danish streetwear brand SAUNA.
The three partners have teamed up to create a limited-edition collection of merchandise, including a jacket, beanie and sweatshirt, which will launch online and in stores in June 2024.
Astralis and sportswear brand Hummel have a long history of collaboration, first signing an agreement in 2020. Since then, the two brands have signed an extension agreement, with Hummel now managing Astralis’ online store and retail operations. The third partner in this notable deal is SAUNA, a young streetwear brand from Denmark that produces shirts, hoodies, hats, and other apparel.
This jersey is undoubtedly the star of the collection. Astralis, Hummel and SAUNA have teamed up to create a new colourway and design that has not been used by an Astralis player before. The Hummel/SAUNA collaboration jersey features a deep burgundy colourway with gold sponsor logos and the Astralis star on the chest. It also features a different collar design than Astralis’ regular professional team kit and the number 16 printed on the back to commemorate the year Astralis was founded – 2016.
Morten Lund, Marketing Director at Hummel, commented on the collaboration: “Our aim has always been to create more than just a jersey, but an experience that appeals to young, sport-loving, fashion-conscious people of all cultures and generations. We are very excited about this new collaboration and can’t wait to see fans of all ages proudly wearing these new designs this summer.”
The collection also includes a hat and a varsity jacket with SAUNA and Astralis logos. The products will be available at the Astralis Nexus in Copenhagen, as well as the Astralis and SAUNA online stores. The shirt will also be available to fans at the BLAST Premier 2024 Spring Finals in London.
