What are foam buffing pads used for?

Buffing pads are circular pads used to polish paint and other hard materials. They can also be used to apply wax, sealants, and other coatings. Most pads are made of foam but can also be made of microfiber or wool or a combination of all three materials.

What color polishing pads to use for what.

Yellow pads and black pads can be used for polishing. The black pads are the softest finishing pads. Sometimes a sensitive paint surface prefers the softer pad and allows a more refined finish

Can you reuse polishing pads?

Yes you can wash and reuse them but separate the applicator pads to a specific duty like paint, interior, exterior..etc. The reason you want to keep them separated like that is to prevent contamination. No matter how much you wash the applicators you will never remove all the residue in them

What are different polishing pads for?

For very coarse and deep polishing up to very fine and high gloss. The green pad is most suitable for deep scratches and hard lacquers. The grey pad is most suitable for extreme gloss and soft lacquers. The yellow and white are in between
